Brett Register
Creator/Executive Producer
Upon graduating from the University of Central Florida with a degree in English Literature , Brett deemed the next logical step to pack his pick-up truck full of books and DVD’s (I’m to understand there were a few pairs of clothes throw in there too) and head West. Having directed several music videos in Florida (for such bands as Copeland, Summerbirds in the Cellar, Cracker Jackson, etc.) Brett came to Hollywood with a head of steam ready to not waste any time and jump right back into the director’s chair. However, he soon realized that credits achieved in Florida don’t translate well to Hollywood, and so, after deflating, he took a job as a production assistant at Nickelodeon.
When the writer’s strike found him knee deep in a year of post-production for reality television, Brett finally decided he had to do something to vent the creativity that was being stipend by the monotony of his current day-to-day life. An avid Sci-Fi fan, Brett decided to dust off an old idea he had been mulling around for a couple years, and after a few hours at the computer writing and a quick meeting with DP Tim Riese, “The Crew” was born.
